Welcome to the site of the Industrial Research Chair in Carbon Biogeochemistry in Boreal Aquatic systems (CarBBAS Chair). The CarBBAS Chair was officially launched in October 2009, and is jointly funded by the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada and Hydro-Québec. The goal of the Chair is to develop a long-term, integrative research program on the carbon biogeochemistry of boreal aquatic systems in Québec, designed to advance our basic understanding of the functioning of these systems and their role in the regional carbon cycle.
